Quantifier

Quantifiers are determiners that give information about the quantity of the head noun in the NP, be it in terms of number (for countables in the plural: (a) few students, many votes, some reservations, both children, all employees, each year, every customer) or amount (for uncountables: (a) little patience, a lot of money, some information, any food, (not) much time). Many quantifiers can also be used as pronouns (He gave me some, I don’t want any). The terms indefinite determiner and indefinite pronoun are sometimes used to refer to a quantifier. (AEG Ch. 3)
