Rotoscoping
In this section, we explain how compositing software can be used to ‘trace’ the shape and movement of on-screen subjects in order to recreate that motion.

Exercise: Rotoscoping
In this exercise, we use a series of photographic frames from a video sequence to manually trace a figure. This way, rotoscoping can be accomplished without the need for compositing software.
