nick-e melville is an Edinburgh-based poet who works in various media and has been published in many different formats. Here he shares with us his ‘tippex’ and ‘cut up’ poems, which draw on the techniques of ‘found poetry’, discussed in the pieces on this website considering ‘Poetry and/as print’. Do listen to his recordings of these brilliant, acerbic, political poems – poems that are created from the ‘consumer correspondence’ (letters from credit card companies) and manifestos from the main British political parties. nick-e explains and expands upon his practice, and tells us more about the context of these works plus his brilliant ‘Abbodies’ longer ‘lyric’ poem, in the audio interview below.
