Find an example of a research study reported in the news. Determine what kind of methods the researcher used (i.e., qualitative or quantitative methods, and then moving on to more specific methodology such as interviews, surveys, etc.). Determine the independent and dependent variables used in the study. Identify any ethical issues you see with how the study was conducted (based only on the news coverage). Use your library’s databases to locate the published study and read it. Was the reporting of the study accurate?
