Resources for the scripta

The scripta can be used in a range of ways. They can be read in English, like the Sources to Study materials in Books 1 and 2; linked below are question sheets which will help develop comprehension and analysis skills.

There is advice in the Teacher’s Guide about the different ways you could approach the scripta in Latin. The resources below will support students who are aiming to translate a text in full: there are comprehensive vocabulary glosses and explanatory notes about the grammar. These resources will suit ambitious KS4 students who are looking for further challenge. Alternatively, you may prefer to use them at KS5 to develop the skills needed for A Level set texts. Each set of notes also includes questions designed to develop literary analysis skills.
