About the editors

CHRISTINE CROSS is Head of Department, Personnel and Employment Relations and Senior Lecturer in OB and HRM at the University of Limerick, Ireland. Prior to joining the University of Limerick she worked for a number of multinational organisations in both management and human resource management roles. This experience has led to a wide range of research, consultancy and publication interests covering areas such as the workforce experiences of immigrants, training and development in call centres, and investigating the glass ceiling. She is co-editor of Human Resource Management: A Concise Introduction (2013) and Human Resource Development: A Concise Introduction (2015), both published by Palgrave.

RONAN CARBERY is Senior Lecturer in Management at University College Cork, Ireland. Ronan is co-editor of the European Journal of Training and Development. His research interests include career development, talent managementand participation in human resource development (HRD)activities. Ronan was awarded the University of Limerick Teaching Excellence award in 2013. He is co-editor of Human Resource Management: A Concise Introduction (2013) and Human Resource Development: A Concise Introduction (2015), both published by Palgrave.
