Chapter 25: If, at first, you don’t succeed

Like everything in life, career planning rarely goes exactly as planned. Therefore, some of the keys to success revolve around flexibility, stickability and taking your opportunities when they arise. For example, you may not be able to immediately find the role you’ve been hoping to gain straight after university. This doesn’t mean you should just give up and sit at home for the rest of your life. You can find any job, build up your experience and contacts and find a new way into your chosen career or something similar, or indeed, something new that excites you just as much. Success does not come from the absence of problems, but the ability to surmount them!
